Job summary

Peak Energy is seeking a skilled Process Engineer with expertise in battery manufacturing to oversee and improve production processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost control. You will establish rigorous quality standards, evaluate new equipment, and collaborate with R&D, production, and QA to scale new products from development to full-scale manufacturing.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in engineering with experience in battery processes, strong problem-solving abilities, and knowledge

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical) or related field.
• Proven experience in battery manufacturing processes, preferably lithium-ion or other advanced technologies.
• Strong understanding of materials science and battery components.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or other process improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in process simulation and modeling software.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to adapt to new technologies and industry trends.
• Knowledge of environmental and safety regulations related to battery manufacturing.
• Prior experience with adhesion and dispense processes in battery assembly operations is a significant advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop, evaluate, and continuously improve battery manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase product quality.
• Support manufacturing quality by establishing and maintaining rigorous quality control standards.
• Identify and recommend state-of-the-art equipment and technologies for production.
• Investigate and resolve process-related issues using root cause analysis.
• Ensure processes and equipment adhere to safety protocols and standards.
• Maintain documentation of processes, procedures, and equipment specifications.
• Collaborate with R&D, production, and quality assurance for smooth transitions to manufacturing.
• Promote continuous improvement and innovation within manufacturing engineering.
