Job summary

Archer invites a motivated engineering intern to join our HV Power Systems Manufacturing Design Engineering team at our San Jose, CA headquarters for a 10-week summer program. This hands-on internship offers exposure to fixture design, equipment commissioning, and prototype build activities, with close collaboration to the Product Design team.

We value strong CAD/drafting skills, attention to detail, analytical thinking, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an engineering/manufacturing/mechatronics/industrial engineering degree.
• Strong interest in equipment and machine design.
• Experience with CAD and drafting.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Self-managed and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and build of fixtures and manufacturing equipment for Battery Pack processes.
• Collaborate with Product Design to provide DFM feedback.
• Support new equipment installation, commissioning and launch.
• Support Battery Pack Prototype Builds.
• Create detailed documentation for handoff to the build team.
• Write manufacturing work instructions for the build team.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise.
• Assist with data analysis, algorithm development and visualization for process development.
