Bachelors or Masters in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
2+ years of mechanical design experience; 5+ years for Senior level.
Experience designing components such as castings, stampings, extrusions, plastics, sealing systems, bus bars, or cooling systems.
Strong 3D CAD experience (Onshape or similar CAD tools).
Experience working with suppliers and design for manufacturability (DFM).
Familiarity with low- to mid-volume manufacturing processes.
Ability to interpret structural and thermal analysis results.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills in a cross-functional environment.
Nice to have hands-on prototype or product launch experience, battery or energy system background, and experience designing for harsh environments (vibration, corrosion, water ingress, thermal).

Own mechanical design of battery pack components from concept through product launch.
Drive design decisions with systems, electrical, and analysis teams to meet requirements.
Identify design risks and develop prototypes to validate and mitigate issues.
Engage with suppliers to define specs, obtain quotes, and support development.
Create 3D CAD models and 2D drawings with GD&T for complex assemblies.
Support hands-on prototype builds and collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams.
Perform tolerance stack analyses for proper fit and function.
Ensure electrical isolation and environmental durability (thermal, vibration, sealing).
Optimize designs using analytical, numerical, and empirical methods.
Contribute to technical problem solving and continuous product improvement.
