Job summary

Hyundai Mobis in South Carolina seeks a Production Manager to lead Battery Module and Battery System assembly lines, driving production, quality, safety, cost, and delivery targets. You will oversee planning, workforce management, and continuous improvement, coordinating with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, Logistics, and EHS to ensure lean operations and audit readiness.

Responsibilities include capacity planning, supervising ~142 hourly employees and 10 salaried supervisors, PFMEA reviews,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
8+ years in automotive manufacturing with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Experience in battery module or battery system manufacturing preferred.
Knowledge of IATF 16949:2016 and VDA 6.3.
Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; ability to interpret equipment drawings.

Responsibilities

Plan short and long-term objectives for Battery Module and Battery System production.
Provide capacity and labor planning for all manufacturing departments in the Module Division.
Coordinate continuous improvement teams to achieve productivity, quality, and safety goals.
Coordinate corrective action planning to ensure effective root cause analysis and improvement methods.
Teach continuous improvement philosophy through monthly training of supervisory personnel.
Provide conflict resolution for and coaching of Team Members.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental goals and company policies.
Own and execute production floor control plans and PFMEA to mitigate process failures.
Interface with major automotive OEMs and customer auditors, maintaining audit-ready state.
