Calance is seeking a Manufacturing Project Engineer (Battery Production) in Liberty, NC. The role is an on-site, 12+ month contract with a pay rate of $75–$85 per hour, originally listed at $176,800 per year.

Candidates should bring 5+ years of experience in capital projects and strong project management with budgets above $500K. You will lead cross-functional teams, plan equipment installation, and drive battery line readiness from pre-production trials to mass production, including safety,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing or engineering projects.
• Experience in production preparation and execution of capital projects.
• Project management experience with capital investments > $500K.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams to achieve project milestones.
• Plan, procure, install, commission, and launch battery production lines.
• Support cleanliness protocols and battery manufacturing trials.
• Identify punchlist items, perform root-cause analysis, and implement countermeasures.
• Summarize KPIs, enable mass-production handover, and resolve production issues.
• Manage detailed project schedules and budgets for assigned areas.
