Job summary

Pacer Group is seeking a Project Engineer for an on-site, 12-month contract to support battery manufacturing project planning, equipment procurement, installation, commissioning, and mass-production launch. You will coordinate with engineering teams, vendors, and contractors to achieve milestones, maintain budgets, and ensure equipment safety and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or 5+ years of equivalent experience.
• Experience in production preparation and capital project execution from planning through mass production.
• Ability to read and interpret 2D drawings and facility/process layouts.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.
• Experience with developing installation schedules and milestone plans.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute equipment procurement, installation, commissioning, pre-production trials, and battery production line launches.
• Coordinate with engineering teams, construction management, technicians, vendors, and contractors to meet milestones.
• Support battery manufacturing trials to verify equipment safety, quality, availability, and efficiency.
• Follow clean-room protocols in assigned manufacturing areas.
• Identify punch-list items, perform root cause analysis, and manage corrective actions.
• Track project KPIs, support production issues, and facilitate handover to mass production.
• Collaborate with domestic and international teams to resolve issues and maintain schedules.
• Develop and maintain detailed installation schedules, milestone plans, and project budgets.
• Participate in internal and external training as required.
