Job summary

LG Energy Solution is seeking a Specialist I, Process Safety in Holland, MI to support the development and ongoing improvement of process safety programs for lithium-ion battery manufacturing. You will work with Engineering, Maintenance, Production and cross-functional teams to identify hazards and ensure safe operations.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a safety-related field and 1–3+ years in process safety, with strong knowledge of PSM, hazard analysis, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
• 1–3+ years of experience in process safety or high-hazard manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of OSHA and state/local safety regulations.
• Ability to review technical safety documentation.

Responsibilities

• Support development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Process Safety Management (PSM) programs.
• Maintain process safety documentation, SOPs, and safety controls for battery manufacturing hazards.
• Support safety programs for high-risk equipment; assist with inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance.
• Participate in annual and long-term Process Safety planning, risk management, and incident response.
• Develop and deliver training related to process safety and emergency procedures.
