Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.
• 3+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing (chemical, battery, or automotive sectors).
• Knowledge of OSHA 1910, MIOSHA, EPA RCRA, and DOT hazardous materials regulations.
• Strong problem-solving skills with experience in incident investigation (5 Whys, Fishbone analysis).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, EHS management software.

Responsibilities

• Regulatory Compliance & Audits: Ensure compliance with federal (OSHA, EPA), state (MIOSHA, Michigan DEQ), and local regulations.
• Hazard Identification & Mitigation: Evaluate risks related to battery manufacturing processes and implement controls.
• Training & Employee Engagement: Develop and deliver EHS training programs and promote safety culture.
• Environmental & Sustainability Initiatives: Oversee waste management, air/water permitting, and spill prevention plans.
