Battery Management System (BMS) Test Engineer

Are you looking to work for a company that provides an innovative work environment, and your voice is heard? We have a position for a BMS Test Engineer.

What you will be doing:

• Reviewing BMS requirements and tests to ensure performance targets are met.
• Definition of specific tests to validate BMS interfaces, such as analogue inputs, comms interfaces, HV circuitry, etc.
• Prepare and Execute the tests.
• Diagnostics and state machine refinement, suggestion of sensor improvements, change of methods and algorithms will be part of daily activities.
• Lead network related tasks as SPN FMI definition, signal mapping, .dbc files creation, debug, addressing verification, logging etc.
• Supporting tasks related to Functional Safety, Cyber Security and Software Releases into Cummins systems will be required.

What you'll need to be successful:

• Electronics OR controls background
• Battery Management Systems (BMS) experience (test)
• Knowledge of embedded control software development using the 'V' process for both design and verification/validation activities.
• Good communicator - written and verbal
• Great collaborator

Essential:

• College, university, or equivalent BA or BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Software Engineering.
• Electronics OR controls background
• This role will not require design of HW or SW, but to define requirements to the design team.
• Experience with HIL rigs is welcome.
• Knowledge of embedded control software development using the 'V' process for both design and verification/validation activities.
• Good communicator - written and verbal
• Great collaborator

Preferred:

• Experience with HIL rigs is welcome.
• Electrified automotive components - BMS
• Troubleshooting and root cause identification of incidents
