Job summary

Sysco Corporation in Winchester, VA is seeking a Battery Maintenance Associate to inspect, recharge, repair, and replace batteries for electric industrial trucks. You will manage charging cycles, perform preventative maintenance, and keep accurate maintenance records in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

The role requires safety‑driven individuals who can operate forklifts and pallet jacks, follow procedures, and communicate effectively with supervision.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED preferred; or one year warehouse experience.
• Ability to pass a functional capacity test.
• Certification on material handling equipment or ability to obtain it.
• Strong safety focus and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, recharge, repair, and replace batteries for electric trucks.
• Ensure proper charging and rotation to extend battery life.
• Perform preventative maintenance on chargers and battery machines.
• Maintain maintenance records and report issues to supervisor.
• Operate MHE equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) safely.
