Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking a Battery Technician to join our team in Chesapeake, Virginia. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing various types of battery systems, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and at least 2 years of experience. Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to provide training are essential. This is a full-time position with shifts from Monday to Thursday, 4:30 pm to 3:00 am.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in a related field is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Experience in repairing and maintaining batteries of various types, including lead-acid, lithium-ion, and nickel-cadmium.

• Battery installation, maintenance, and repair – performing installations, maintenance, and repair of batteries in different types of equipment
• Troubleshooting – identifying and resolving issues related to battery performance and operation
• Record keeping – maintaining accurate records of battery inventory, maintenance, and repair activities
• Training – providing training and guidance to other team members and customers on proper battery handling and maintenance procedures
• Safety compliance – ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and guidelines related to battery storage, handling, and disposal

Requirements
