Job summary

You will maintain records, operate forklifts and related equipment, and follow all safety regulations. A HS diploma or GED (or related warehouse experience) is required, with ability to lift heavy loads and obtain certification for equipment as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; or one year warehouse related experience and/or training.
• Must be 18 years of age and pass a functional capacity test.
• Certification on material handling equipment or ability to become certified.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, memos, and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, recharge, repair, and replace batteries for electric industrial trucks.
• Ensure proper battery charging and rotation to extend battery life.
• Perform battery changes as scheduled for warehouse equipment.
• Check fluid levels and specific gravity of battery cells.
• Monitor charging process and maintain records.
• Perform maintenance on battery changers, transfer machines, batteries, and stationary chargers per manufacturer specs.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area; report unsafe issues to supervisor.
• Operate MHE equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, battery changers) safely.
• Comply with company policies and safety regulations (OSHA, HACCP, etc).
