Job summary

Crown Equipment Corporation is seeking a battery repair technician to support the battery department and reconditioning efforts. You will inspect, assemble, and test lift‑truck batteries and related components for sale or rent, ensuring quality and safety standards.

The role requires reading wiring diagrams, basic math, and using test meters, with opportunities to learn across shop tasks and cross-train within the department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Able to read wiring diagrams, troubleshoot, use test meters, and analyze.
• Basic computer skills and ability to operate with safety in mind.

Responsibilities

• Repair and recondition batteries for sale or rent.
• Clean and steam wash used batteries; inspect and replace parts.
• Fill cells with acid solution and test gravity; charge/discharge.
• Support technicians; rebuild lift truck components and related systems.
• Perform safety tests and complete paperwork.
• Handle attachments and hydraulic/electrical adaptations.
