Job summary

Ford Energy, a Ford Motor Company subsidiary, seeks a Technical Specialist to own the battery intelligence stack for BESS products. You will set technical direction, stay hands-on, and build, validate, and deploy algorithms on production hardware and cloud, uniting BMS, EMS and digital services teams.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience developing and deploying battery algorithms on production systems.
• Experience with SOC, SOH, RUL, thermal estimation, or fault detection.
• Ability to translate battery physics into software and control strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead battery intelligence development across BESS architecture.
• Define monitoring, diagnostics and digital twin interfaces with BMS/EMS/cloud platforms.
• Translate physics and degradation mechanisms into software and control strategies.
• Build hybrid digital twins at cell, pack and container levels.
• Design and deploy algorithms for SOC, SOH, thermal estimation, RUL, and fault detection.
• Lead technical reviews and deployment strategy across teams.
• Mentor engineers across modeling, controls and software.
