Job summary

Trojan Battery Company in Santa Fe Springs, CA is seeking a Formation Operator to ensure correct acid level and inspect for cosmetic defects. You will follow safety protocols, use PPE, and support quality and production standards on the line.

Responsibilities include handling batteries on conveyors, identifying defects before the acid fill, and selecting proper cables. A high school diploma and forklift certification are preferred; basic English and math skills are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 6 months–1 year of machine operator experience.
• Stand-up lift / forklift certification preferred.
• Read and understand basic English and perform basic math.
• Basic computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Place caps onto batteries according to battery type.
• Stack on/off from conveyors as required.
• Identify defects prior to filling with acid.
• orient batteries correctly and ensure polarity awareness.
• Select correct jumper cables for battery types.
• Use table lift safely during off bearing.
• Mark battery rack accurately to aid Circuit Tender.
• Wear PPE and maintain housekeeping.
• Meet all quality and production requirements.
