Job summary

Base in Austin, TX is seeking a Hardware Test Technician to support field returns, perform tests, and help engineers diagnose root causes. You will work with fixtures, test equipment, and processes to triage failures while contributing to design, firmware fixes, and line improvements on products used in homes.

You will help build tools and methods to speed failure analysis, keeping the lab safe and organized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate's degree in Engineering Technology or related field is a plus.
• Hands-on experience supporting design, testing, or assembly in an engineering or technical environment.
• Comfort with multimeters, power supplies, and standard lab tools.
• Strong organization and attention to detail; clear communication with engineers and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Test returned hardware and help engineers find root cause.
• Build and improve fixtures, test equipment, and processes used to triage returns; own the process.
• Track throughput and results, flag new quality issues, and provide engineers context to prioritize fixes in firmware, product, or line.
• Keep the lab safe, clean, and organized.
