Job summary

Gamma Technologies, LLC is seeking a Battery Electrochemistry Development Engineer to join our Electrification product development team. You will develop and refine electrochemical battery models, focusing on performance, degradation, thermal security, and safety, within GT-SUITE and GT-AutoLion ecosystems.

The role involves collaboration with developers and application engineers, implementing advanced solvers to speed simulations and scalability, and applying knowledge of modern battery

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in mechanical, electrical or chemical engineering or materials science.
• 2 years of computational model development experience in battery electrochemistry.
• Experience with solid-state batteries, Li-Sulfur batteries, and Sodium-Ion batteries.
• Experience with battery management systems (BMS) is a plus.
• Proficiency in Fortran, C/C++, or Python.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, test and maintain models for electrochemical battery simulation of performance, degradation, thermal security, and safety
• Collaborate with other developers and application engineers on functional and I/O requirements and design of models. Adaptation of models to user requirements
• Implement advanced solvers and computational methods to reduce simulation time and increase scalability
