Job summary

Coreshell Technologies is seeking a hands-on Technician to assemble battery cells on our Pilot Line in San Leandro, CA. The role involves operating manufacturing and testing equipment, following SOPs, and supporting rapid development.

The ideal candidate has an associate or bachelor’s degree in a science-related field and 2+ years in battery assembly, manufacturing, or lab operations, with the ability to lift up to 25 lbs and wear PPE as required.

Responsibilities

• Execute pilot line manufacturing processes including electrode handling, stacking, tab welding, electrolyte filling, vacuum sealing, and formation preparation.
• Follow, maintain, and create SOPs; collaborate with technical teams to ensure best practices.
• Troubleshoot large machinery and electrical equipment; optimize operations to reduce downtimes.
• Maintain dry-room and lab safety protocols.
• Adhere to quality standards and documentation; contribute improvements for higher quality products.
• Maintain organized production records and traceability documentation; create documentation pathways to boost throughput.

Coreshell's metallurgical Silicon anode technology delivers high capacity, fast‑charging, and superior safety. Our low‑cost Silicon‑dominant batteries have higher energy density, superior intrinsic thermal safety, and significantly lower cost/kWh compared to current LIBs. Coreshell's Si anode material is lower than the cost of graphite and utilizes the largest abundant critical mineral supply in the US and Europe. We are looking for a Technician to assemble battery cells on Coreshell’s Pilot Line, operating manufacturing and testing equipment. The ideal candidate is hands‑on and comfortable working in a fast‑paced development environment.

Core Responsibilities

• Execute pilot line manufacturing processes including electrode handling, stacking, tab welding, electrolyte filling, vacuum sealing, and formation preparation.
• Follow, maintain, and create standard operating procedures (SOPs). Collaborate with multiple technical team members to ensure best practices are followed.
• Troubleshoot large machinery and electrical equipment. Optimize operations to reduce downtimes.
• Maintain dry‑room protocols and uphold lab safety protocols.
• Adhere to quality standards and documentation requirements, contributing and developing improvements to obtain the highest quality product.
• Maintain organized production records and traceability documentation. Create new documentation pathways to bolster production throughput.

Required Minimum Qualifications and Experience

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in a science related field.
• 2+ years of experience in battery assembly, manufacturing, or lab operations preferred.
• Ability to follow detailed manufacturing procedures and engineering instructions. Willingness to contribute to process improvements.
• Familiarity with chemistry lab safety protocols.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
• Manual dexterity for handling small components and tools.
• Ability to wear PPE including gloves, safety glasses, and respirators if required.

Location & Benefits

San Leandro, CA. Full‑time. Hourly rate $30–35 per hour with additional stock incentives dependent on experience. Dental, vision, healthcare, and 401(k) benefits are included. Applications will be screened as received.
