Stonhard in Maple Shade, New Jersey is seeking a production batchmaker responsible for blending and batching pigments, resins and additives to produce in-process batches with minimal corrections. The role requires handling raw materials, maintaining batch area safety, and coordinating with quality control for accuracy and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or GED, 2 years related experience or 1 year as batchmaker, and some college chemistry knowledge.

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2 years related experience or 1 year as production batchmaker.
• Some college chemistry preferred.
• Sector-specific batching/manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Stages and prepares all raw materials associated with production batches.
• Maintains orderliness and cleanliness in batch making area and proper storage of batch area inventories.
• Communicates low levels of raw materials to the Plant Supervisor.
• Develops knowledge of raw material storage tanks, valving and piping, their contents, actuation, and directions of flow.
• Maintains a good working relationship with Quality Control.
• Capable of logical structuring of the batch making process, particularly optimisation of mixer usage and efficiency.
• Reports on spills and leaks, equipment malfunction, safety hazards, accidents, near‑miss accidents, and material shortages immediately to the production supervisor.
• Acknowledges and understands hazards and safety precautions for inorganic metal-based powdered pigments.
