Job summary

Stonhard in New Jersey is seeking a Production Batch Maker to stage and prepare raw materials for production runs, while keeping work areas clean and safe. You will assist in line changes, operate packaging equipment, and handle basic scanner/computer tasks, reporting shortages and hazards promptly.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and related batch-making experience; college chemistry coursework is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Minimum 2 years related experience; 1 year as a production batch maker preferred.
• College level chemistry coursework experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stage and prepare all raw materials for production batches.
• Maintain orderliness and cleanliness in batch making and packaging areas; follow safety practices.
• Communicate low material levels to supervision; report spills, leaks, malfunctions, hazards and shortages.
• Operate packaging equipment and handle basic scanner/computer tasks; transfer to other lines during downtime.
• Assist in hazardous waste handling under supervision.
