Armtec Defense Technologies in Coachella, California, is seeking a Batchmaker I to support the production of felted fiber nitrocellulose cartridge cases and related processes. You will formulate batches, verify raw materials, and maintain batch records with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities include transferring slurry, managing inventories, and performing testing on process waters and slurries. Excellent communication and adherence to safety and ethics are essential; overtime and shift

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Willing to work any shift, including overtime and shutdown periods.
• Able to work independently or in teams with minimal supervision.
• Respirator certified; training provided and health test required.
• Basic knowledge of ISO-9001:2000, MSDS and power washing tank cleaning.

Responsabilités

• Formulate batches in at least one program by verifying all raw materials against batch records; understand lot control requirements, expiration dates and quantities.
• Transfer batch slurry and know valve location and piping for at least one program.
• Maintain inventories of batch, process waters, water treatments and all pertinent records in each workstation and in the database.
• Perform specialized testing for Kraft moisture, slurry consistencies, process water pH and turbidity and wash down water chemical requirements.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers, direct supervisors, and production supervisors.
• Adhere to Armtec ethics and business conduct policies.
