Job summary

Mars Incorporated is seeking a Batching Operator in Reno, NV to safely receive, analyze, and process raw ingredients and to support maintenance and troubleshooting of system equipment. Training other processing associates is also part of the role.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, basic math and reading/writing skills, and prior manufacturing experience. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and process optimization.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic math, reading and writing skills required.
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience operating a variety of machines.
• 2 years of work experience within manufacturing or a technical/trade discipline.
• Proficiency with MS Office and email.
• Knowledge of inventory control principles.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Knowledge of GMPs and housekeeping.
• Strong problem-solving skills; able to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate and control the total operation of unit operations.
• Perform quality checks and maintain conformance reports and system logs; troubleshoot as needed.
• Manage the batching schedule and ensure accurate batches of mixed meal.
• Coordinate flexible workforce for recipe-specific requirements.
• Contribute to safety, cleanliness, and product integrity on the floor.
• Lead problem solving on the floor and in meetings; provide training to associates.
• Assist R&D on new products and improve existing ones.
• Prepare and maintain SOPs and training modules.
