Job summary

Aerotek is hiring for a Batcher in Skokie, IL. This contract-to-hire role supports the production line by preparing, weighing, and transferring batch ingredients, while maintaining GMP and food safety standards.

You will work in a fast-paced, onsite setting with a focus on traceability and quality. Responsibilities include following batch sheets, monitoring temps and ratios, recording data, and coordinating with teammates to meet daily output.

Responsibilities

• Read batch sheets and follow recipes to prepare batches.
• Accurately weigh and measure both liquid and dry ingredients using appropriate tools.
• Add raw materials into mixing tanks in the correct sequence and quantities as defined by formulas and procedures.
• Monitor mixing times, temperatures, and ingredient ratios to ensure product quality.
• Record batch information and production data for traceability and reporting.
• Conduct quality checks throughout the batching process and report deviations.
• Transfer finished batches to filling lines for further processing and packaging.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work areas to support safe operations.
• Follow GMP and food safety procedures at all times.
• Collaborate with team to meet daily output goals.
• Communicate equipment malfunctions or material shortages promptly to appropriate personnel.

Job Title: Batcher

The batcher plays a key role in the production process by preparing, mixing, and transferring ingredients according to established recipes and schedules. This position ensures that each batch meets quality, safety, and consistency standards while maintaining accurate records and a clean, compliant work area.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow batch sheets, recipes, and production schedules to prepare batches according to specifications.

• Accurately weigh and measure both liquid and dry ingredients using appropriate tools and methods.

• Add raw materials into mixing tanks in the correct sequence and quantities as defined by formulas and procedures.

• Monitor mixing times, temperatures, and ingredient ratios to ensure product consistency and quality.

• Record batch information and production data clearly and accurately for traceability and reporting purposes.

• Conduct quality checks throughout the batching process, identifying and reporting any deviations or issues.

• Transfer finished batches safely and efficiently to filling lines for further processing and packaging.

• Maintain cleanliness of mixing equipment, tools, and production areas to support safe and efficient operations.

• Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety standards, and sanitation procedures at all times.

• Work effectively in a fast-paced production environment, collaborating with team members to meet daily output goals.

• Communicate any equipment malfunctions, material shortages, or process concerns promptly to appropriate personnel.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Skokie, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
