Job summary

Sika Corporation in Marion, OH is seeking a Batch Operator to run complex chemical processes daily, meeting safety, quality, and productivity targets. You will operate packaging and mixing equipment, inspect materials, document processes, and participate in safety programs while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 3+ years in manufacturing. You may train new staff and use SAP and PLC systems to monitor operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and comprehend English.
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot basic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in the plant's Sika SAFE Program.
• Oversee and operate packaging equipment to meet specs and quality.
• Drive safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform inventory checks of raw and packaging materials.
• Operate mixing equipment within validated parameters and SOPs.
• Train and guide new and temporary employees.
