Job summary

Southwest Concrete Paving is an established concrete paving company supporting military airfield construction across the western United States. The Batch Plant Laborer role involves maintaining concrete mix production, plant setup and tear-down, and traveling with the paving crew to assist in all functions.

Ideal candidates will multi-task in a fast-paced environment and be able to work some nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be available to work all shifts including days, nights, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, grease and oil machinery.
• Clean dirt/debris from conveyors and organize material.
• Set up/take down batch plant.
• Fill trucks with concrete mix.
• Replace worn parts (screens, hammers, anvils, etc.).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Batch Plant Laborer will maintain production of concrete mix, maintenance and set up/tear down of batch plant sites for concrete paving projects. This position will be a travelling position where the qualified applicant will be required to integrate and travel with a paving crew to assist in all assigned functions. The individual must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced work environment. Some night and weekend work will be required. This position will be working on the Yuma Border wall project in California.

PRIMARY DUTIES

• Inspect, Grease and Oil machinery

• Fill trucks with concrete mix

• Other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE

• Experience working with Concrete Batch Plants preferred
