Job summary

Southwest Concrete Paving is seeking a Batch Plant Loader Operator for the Yuma Border project. You will operate equipment to meet production goals, assist with plant setup and teardown, perform basic maintenance, and keep the jobsite clean.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, be at least 18, able to lift 80 lb, and be fluent in English; Spanish preferred. Shift work including nights and weekends is required, with drug screening and background checks.

Qualifications

• Must have mechanical knowledge of equipment and be able to perform routine maintenance.
• Experience working with concrete batch plants preferred.
• CDL preferred.

Batch Plant Loader Operator

Southwest Concrete Paving is an established concrete paving company specializing in military airfield construction across the western United States. This position is for Yuma Border project in California.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Operate equipment efficiently to maintain production goals
• Assist with setup and tear down of plants
• Perform general maintenance, repair, and service equipment as required or directed by supervisor
• General housekeeping of equipment and jobsite
• The use of a shovel to move material will be necessary
• Perform all duties within safety guidelines set up by M.S.H.A. and company policy
• Perform pre-shift inspections on equipment prior to startup
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be available to work all shifts including days, nights, and/or weekends
• Must be able to work in conditions with loud noise; work on/around heavy/moving machinery; bend, walk, stand and sit for extended time; and use hand tools
• Must be able to lift objects weighing 80 lb. or more on a regular basis
• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Fluent in English and Spanish (preferred)

EXPERIENCE:

• Must have mechanical knowledge of equipment and be able to perform routine maintenance
• Experience working with Concrete Batch Plants preferred
• CDL preferred
