Description

At Hi-Way Paving, we are general contractors in the construction field specialized in concrete paving, storm drainage, and excavation on highways and airfields.

What You'll Do

• Set up, operate, and dismantle portable concrete batch plants as needed.
• Monitor mix design components to ensure proper material blending and quality.
• Operate batch plant machinery, pumps, conveyor belts, and other related equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and adjustments on batch plant equipment.
• Track material inventories and coordinate material deliveries.
• Maintain compliance with plant permit requirements and environmental regulations.
• Keep plant areas organized and ensure a safe, clean work environment.
• Collaborate closely with quality control teams and inspectors to ensure compliance.
• Assist in enforcing safety protocols and site‑specific regulations.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in ready‑mix operations, concrete production, or construction.
• Experience on concrete paving crews at airfields/airports (preferred).
• NRMCA and/or ACI certifications (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of environmental and safety regulations.
• Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment with a focus on quality.
• Must be able to travel overnight up to 100% based on project needs.
• Additional Requirements:
  • Ability to gain clearance for restricted/high‑security zones (e.g., airport AOA, military bases).
  • Willingness to travel 100% of the time.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, climb, walk, kneel, squat, push, pull, and enter confined spaces.
