Meridian Adhesives Group is seeking a Batch Maker to mix raw chemical materials and produce products according to batch instructions. The role involves loading materials, operating mixing equipment, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Typical shift is 1st shift, with responsibilities including monitoring equipment, following schedules, and maintaining a clean, hazard-free workspace.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills required.
• Able to operate high-speed dispersers and other handling equipment.
• Must be able to read and comprehend English.
• Ability to lift 50-60 pounds.
• Must be able to read digital scales.
• Chemical manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stage and manually charge necessary raw materials into mixing container.
• Follow batch work instructions to manufacture quality products.
• Monitor and control mixing equipment and other instruments to ensure batch is produced per work instructions.
• Adjust a batch under QC guidance until approved.
• Follow manufacturing schedule and coordinate with Supervisor on improvements or concerns.
• Clean up work area to company standards.
• Ensure work area is safe, clean, and free of hazards; report spills or hazards to supervisor or safety.
• Comply with PPE standards.

Job Summary

The batch makers are responsible for mixing the raw chemical materials to create our products.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Stages and manually charges necessary raw materials into mixing container.
• Follows batch work instructions to manufacture quality products.
• Monitors and controls mixing equipment and other instruments in order to make sure that a batch is produced according to work instructions.
• Adjust a batch under QC guidance until it is approved.
• Follows manufacturing schedule and works with Supervisor regarding any potential improvements or concerns.
• Cleanup work area to company standards.
• Ensure work area is safe, clean, and free of recognizable hazards, communicate all spills or other hazards immediately to floor either supervisor or safety.
• Comply to all PPE standards.

Information & Compensation & Benefits

Schedule: 1st Shift 7:00 am -3:30 pm M-F

Pay: This position has a starting hourly rate of $24.75 per hour. The range represents the expected hourly range for this position. The actual hourly range may vary based upon several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic location
