Meridian Adhesives Group is seeking a Batch Maker/Compounder/Mixer on the 2nd shift in Fort Wayne, IN. The role involves preparing and charging raw materials, mixing according to batch instructions, and ensuring product quality.

You will monitor equipment, adjust batches under QC guidance, and maintain a safe, clean work area. The position offers competitive pay with shift differential and a productivity incentive plan.

Qualifications

• Basic math required for batch calculations and QC checks.
• Experience operating high-speed dispersers and related mixing equipment.
• Ability to read and comprehend English; follow work instructions.
• Ability to lift 50–60 pounds as part of the manufacturing process.
• Experience in chemical manufacturing is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Stages and manually charges raw materials into the mixing container according to instructions.
• Follows batch work instructions to manufacture quality products.
• Monitors and controls equipment to ensure batches meet work instructions.
• Adjust batches under QC guidance until approved.
• Follows schedule and coordinates with Supervisor on improvements or concerns.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area following PPE standards.

Job Summary

The batch makers are responsible for mixing the raw chemical materials to create our products.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Stages and manually charges necessary raw materials into mixing container.
• Follows batch work instructions to manufacture quality products.
• Monitors and controls mixing equipment and other instruments in order to make sure that a batch is produced according to work instructions.
• Adjust a batch under QC guidance until it is approved.
• Follows manufacturing schedule and works with Supervisor regarding any potential improvements or concerns.
• Cleanup work area to company standards.
• Ensure work area is safe, clean, and free of recognizable hazards, communicate all spills or other hazards immediately to floor either supervisor or safety.
• Comply to all PPE standards.

Schedule: 2nd Shift 2:20 pm-11:50 pm M-F

Pay: This position has a starting hourly rate of $21.00 per hour. + .75 per hour shift differential. The range represents the expected hourly range for this position. The actual hourly range may vary based upon several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic location

Bonus Pay: Meridian is actively participating in a productivity incentive plan for 2026. Eligible employees have the opportunity to earn up to $1,520 a year, with payments distributed quarterly throughout the year.
