Job summary

MFG Chemical in Dalton, GA is hiring a Chemical Operator to run batch chemical processing systems safely and efficiently according to batch records. You will monitor hazards and maintain a clean, organized production area with adherence to SOPs.

Responsibilities include preparing materials, operating equipment, performing housekeeping, and participating in safety programs. Must follow EH&S regulations and wear required PPE throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; reading and speaking English.
• Basic mathematical skills and chemical knowledge.
• Basic knowledge of MFG Chemical processes or similar environment.
• Strong work ethic and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide support in gathering required raw materials and preparing/cleaning process equipment.
• Follow safety procedures and use proper safety equipment for all assigned tasks.
• Operate material handling equipment such as hand trucks and powered lift trucks.
• Conduct plant housekeeping, general maintenance and landscaping duties as directed.
• Participate in safety programs and supervised training programs.
• Manufacture batches and maintain proper use of production equipment.
• Weigh, measure, and check raw materials to ensure correct ingredients and quantities.
• Maintain a clean production area and ensure SOPs are followed.
