Job summary

Madison College is seeking a Head Men's Basketball Coach and a Part-Time Kinesiology Instructor to lead the NJCAA program and teach within the Kinesiology department. The role oversees recruiting, coaching, player development, scheduling, compliance, and program operations, while also teaching courses and advising students pursuing health and physical education careers.

The position reports to the Director of Athletics and the Associate Dean, with responsibilities including budgeting,

Qualifications

Master's degree in Kinesiology or a related field with 18 graduate credits in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, or Physical Education.
Two years (4,000 hours) of coaching and/or teaching experience.
Experience recruiting and developing student-athletes.
Three to five years of intercollegiate athletics experience preferred.
Knowledge of NJCAA rules, compliance requirements, and college policies.

Responsibilities

Head all aspects of the NJCAA men's basketball program, including practices, competitions, and student-athlete development.
Recruit and retain qualified student-athletes while maintaining recruiting documentation and compliance.
Teach and schedule Kinesiology courses (minimum 7 contact hours per semester) and advise students.
Coordinate game schedules, oversee budget, equipment, and fundraising.
Collaborate with academic advising and campus partners to support student success.
