Job summary

BBA Afterschool Inc. is hiring enthusiastic and dependable After-School Basketball Instructors to lead programs for elementary students at Dundee Elementary in Dundee, FL.

This part-time, after-school role runs Monday through Friday from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM with 1.5-hour sessions. You will follow a structured curriculum, teach fundamentals, and promote teamwork and sportsmanship; no lesson planning is required.

Qualifications

• Basketball playing or coaching experience is preferred but not required.
• Experience working with children is a plus.
• Must be able to work with students in grades K-5.
• Must successfully complete the Polk County Public Schools background check and fingerprinting process.

Responsibilities

• Lead engaging basketball sessions for elementary students.
• Follow BBA's structured curriculum and activities.
• Teach basketball fundamentals, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
• Create a fun, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
• Supervise groups of approximately 15-25 students.
• Encourage participation, confidence, and skill development.
• Communicate professionally with school staff and BBA leadership.
