Job summary

Portland Trail Blazers in Portland, OR is seeking a Basketball Communications Manager to shape and execute basketball communications strategy. You will build relationships across the organization and with media outlets, develop press materials, and lead game-night communications operations while traveling as needed.

The ideal candidate has deep basketball knowledge, exceptional writing and proofreading abilities, and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Proven experience in sports communications or media relations.
• Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Execute basketball communications strategy and day-to-day media relations.
• Develop, write, and distribute press materials (releases, advisories, etc.).
• Lead game-notes production and HoopsOMG management.
• Oversee game-night basketball communications operations and staff.
• Build relationships with local, national, and basketball media; maintain media lists.
