Job summary

BASIS Scottsdale is seeking a Basketball Coach for the period November 3rd through February 5th, 2027. This is a seasonal, part-time position with hourly pay and no full-time commitment. You will coach young athletes, teach fundamentals, design drills, and attend all games and practices.

HS diploma required with preferred Bachelor's and prior coaching experience in basketball. Strong playing background at a competitive level is encouraged, and collegiate student-athlete experience is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Requires HS diploma; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience coaching basketball and working with youth athletes.
  • Ability to teach basketball fundamentals and skills to young players.

Responsibilities

  • Teach fundamentals of basketball to young athletes.
  • Create and run drills to build foundational skills.
  • Coach players during games, practices, or scrimmages; emphasize sportsmanship.

This is part of an auxiliary program and is not a full-time position.

Pay: BASIS Ed offers a competitive hourly pay for this position.

Required Qualifications
  • HS diploma, Bachelor's preferred
  • Previous coaching experience
  • Experience working with young athletes
  • Ability to demonstrate basketball skills effectively
  • Experience in playing basketball at a competitive level
Preferred Qualifications
  • Collegiate student-athlete experience
Responsibilities
  • Effectively teaching young athletes the fundamentals of basketball (starting from how to shoot a ball properly)
  • Creating and implementing drills to help build foundational skills
  • Coaching students through best practices in sportsmanship
  • Attending all games, practices, or scrimmages
