Job summary

Illinois Nursing Academy is hiring a Basic Nurse Assistant Training Program (BNATP) Instructor to deliver comprehensive CNA training at our Machesney Park campus. The instructor will teach theory and hands-on clinical skills to help students pass the state CNA exam and succeed in patient care roles.

The role requires RN or LPN licensure with at least 2 years in nursing or CNA experience, and training or teaching experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN or LPN license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a CNA or in a related nursing role.
• Train the Trainer Course Completion.
• Prior teaching or training experience is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with state regulations and the program's curriculum.
• Deliver engaging and informative lectures on various topics related to nursing and patient care.
• Provide hands-on training in clinical skills such as patient hygiene, vital signs monitoring, mobility assistance, and other essential CNA duties.
• Assess students' performance through quizzes, exams, practical demonstrations, and assignments.
• Offer constructive feedback and support to help students improve and succeed.
• Maintain accurate records of students' attendance, grades, and progress.
• Ensure that all training equipment and supplies are properly maintained and available for use.
• Stay updated on the latest developments in nursing education and healthcare practices.
• Assist in the development and revision of the CNA program curriculum as needed.
• Comply with all state and federal regulations and guidelines related to CNA training and certification.

Job Summary: The BNATP Instructor is responsible for delivering comprehensive training and instruction to students enrolled in our Basic Nurse Assistant Training Program.
