Incumbents perform routine work in maintaining the City's baseball facility. This includes skilled and semi-skilled construction and maintenance duties such as mowing, prepping fields, irrigation, and sports fields, along with general maintenance. Depending on assignment, incumbents may be required to work evenings, holidays, and weekends to support events and tournaments.
High school diploma or GED, and one year of experience in Baseball, Parks, Golf, or Sports turf maintenance; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential duties. Additional education cannot substitute for experience.
Must have and maintain a valid Arizona Driver License at the time of hire. Pesticide/herbicide applicator license is required within ten months of hire and must be maintained.
