Job summary

Wyandotte Public Schools seeks an Athletics/Activities/Coaching professional to lead team practices, supervise student athletes, and promote safe, ethical competition at Roosevelt High School for the 2026-27 school year.

Responsibilities include organizing training, enforcing sport rules, and communicating with parents, while creating a supportive environment and applying first aid procedures as needed. Closing date is 09/18/2026.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and conduct team practices, training, and competition.
• Supervise student athletes at before, during and after practices and competitions, including during transportation to and from contests until all athletes are with parents/guardians.
• Possess knowledge of sport, skills and techniques from fundamentals to game planning and strategies appropriate to the level of competition.
• Possess knowledge of rules of sport and ability to relay and enforce those rules to student athletes.
• Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills and possesses the ability to work with student athletes and communicate with parents.
• Create a physically and emotionally safe environment for student athletes.
• Model and teach ethical behavior.
• Ability to perform assigned duties.
• Knowledge of first aid and emergency procedures.
