Job summary

Capitol Broadcasting Company’s Durham Bulls Grounds Crew is seeking a team-oriented and dependable team member to help prepare game fields, drag and water infields, and perform in-game maintenance to keep the ballparks safe and professional.

This outdoor role requires endurance for long shifts, weather exposure, and the ability to follow instructions, communicate effectively with teammates and guests, and contribute to a positive experience for players, coaches, and fans.

Qualifications

• Team-oriented and dependable with ability to follow procedures.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with teammates, supervisors, and guests.
• Able to work independently and stay focused.
• Physically capable of outdoor work in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Set up and break down batting practice equipment.
• Prepare game fields, including dragging, watering, and maintaining the infield before and during games.
• Sweep and water pitcher’s mounds and home plate areas; clean and wash bases.
• Assist with placing, covering, and removing the field tarp as weather conditions require.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workspaces, equipment, and tools.
• Perform in-game field maintenance and complete quick repairs or adjustments as needed.
• Support additional field maintenance projects as directed.
• Work cooperatively with fellow grounds crew members and other Durham Bulls team members.
