Job summary

Suttons Bay Public Schools is seeking a Varsity Baseball Coach and a Middle School Baseball Coach for the 2026-2027 school year. Experience coaching is preferred, though players may be considered.

The role involves leading practices, managing teams, and upholding MHSAA guidelines. Responsibilities include coordinating with the Athletic Director, mentoring student-athletes, and promoting sportsmanship and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching baseball preferred
• Experience working with middle and/or high school age kids
• Leadership and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular practices and team conditioning, in and out of season
• Motivate and lead student athletes
• Instruct the team on game strategies, techniques and skill building
• Serve as a positive role model on and off the field
• Coordinate with Athletic Director on organization, administration and philosophy of the sport
• Follow MHSAA Guides and Suttons Bay Coaches Handbook
• Engage with local community programs related to the sport
• Maintain rosters, stats and awards
