Job summary

Cooperstown Central School District is seeking a dedicated Varsity Baseball Assistant Coach to support the head coach in guiding the high school varsity program at Cooperstown Jr Sr High School. The successful candidate will mentor student-athletes, promote sportsmanship, and help foster a positive, competitive team culture.

Responsibilities include planning practices, drills, game-day strategies, equipment and schedule management, and clear communication with players, families, and school

• Concussion Management Training
• SAVE Training
• Fingerprint clearance through NYSED

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Coach in planning and conducting practices, drills, and game-day strategies
• Support the skill development and personal growth of student-athletes
• Help manage equipment, schedules, and team logistics
• Promote teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship among players
• Supervise athletes during practices, games, travel, and related activities
• Assist with communication between players, parents, and school administration
• Ensure adherence to all NYSPHSAA and district athletic policies and regulations
• Be present and engaged at all practices, games, and team events

Cooperstown Central School District is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Varsity Baseball Assistant Coach to support the head coach in leading our high school varsity baseball program. The successful candidate will be passionate about mentoring student-athletes, promoting sportsmanship, and contributing to a positive and competitive team culture.
