Job summary

Global Medical Response is seeking a Base Pilot Supervisor to lead the Line Pilots at the base and ensure operations comply with FARs, the EMS Operations Manual, and all state regulations.

The Base Pilot Supervisor works with the Program Director to maintain efficient, safe, and economical base operations and staffing. A strong aviation background with rotorcraft credentials is required, with supervisory experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum Base Line Pilot qualifications with specified flight hours.
• Education includes rotorcraft helicopter commercial cert and instrument rating.
• Physical requirements include 230-pound weight limit and appropriate flight gear.

Responsibilities

• Develops pilot duty schedules with the Regional Director of Flight Operations.
• Coordinates flight planning resources for mission support at the base.
• Conducts local area orientations for all new hire pilots assigned to the base.
• Coordinates aviation activities for public relations events.
• Reviews monthly flight/duty logs for each base pilot.
• Monitors pilots at the base and assists in day-to-day operations.
• Submits base pilot payroll grids to the Regional Director of Flight Operations.
• Operates aircraft safely with emphasis on Rotorcraft Flight Manual compliance.
• Monitors weather and forecast changes.
• Performs preflight checks and notes discrepancies for maintenance.
