Job summary

Boyne Resorts seeks a Base Operations Supervisor for Big Sky Resort to lead Parking & Shuttle Guides and support the Base Operations Manager in daily oversight. You’ll help foster a positive team culture and ensure smooth operations across parking, shuttle, and facilities.

You will coach staff, resolve guest questions with patience, and coordinate with ski patrol, lift operations, and events to deliver an exceptional guest experience across all shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Prior leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• General knowledge of Big Sky Resort and winter operations.
• General knowledge of parking and traffic control operations, and basic knowledge of fleet maintenance management.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills, with basic computer skills including email and spreadsheets.
• Comfortable handling confidential information and following policies and procedures.
• Able to work in a fast paced environment and build positive relationships across departments.
• Flexible with hours and days of work, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions, including lifting up to 35 lbs unassisted and up to 80 lbs with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Model and coach the team on anticipating guest needs and creating magic moments throughout the day.
• Help oversee parking and shuttle services, grounds maintenance, facility snow removal, equipment operations, and the paid parking and drop off lot.
• Support scheduling and coverage across the Big Sky Resort Base and Madison Base locations.
• Coordinate with other departments, such as ski patrol, lift operations, and events, as needed.

Overview

The Base Operations Supervisor plays a key support role in leading Big Sky Resort’s Parking & Shuttle Guides, stepping in to provide hands on leadership and oversight when the Base Operations Manager is off. This role helps ensure the Base Operations crew, part of Big Sky’s Mountain Operations team, consistently delivers the warm welcome and fond farewell that define our transformational guest experience.
