Job summary

Vail Resorts in Newbury, MA invites applicants for the Base Area Operator role to support a range of operations and deliver a memorable guest arrival experience throughout the winter season.

You will assist with base area tasks such as parking, scanning, and grounds maintenance while supporting multiple departments across the resort. This winter seasonal role (2026/2027) offers full-time and part-time hours and entry-level eligibility.

Qualifications

• Safety procedures and guidelines must be followed to keep you and your team safe.
• Capable of working both indoors and outdoors in seasonal conditions.
• Able to lift 50 lb (22.6 kg).
• Able to stand for long periods and perform physical work consistently.
• Willing to work weekends and holidays.
• May work across multiple departments including Mountain Activities, Retail Rentals, Food and Beverage Support, Ticket Sales/Scanning, Lift Operations, Guest Services.

Base Area Operator

Join our team in the base area to deliver an incredible guest arrival experience. This role supports a variety of operations to ensure great service and smooth resort operations.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in base area operations which may include parking, scanning, grounds maintenance at the base of the resort (including snow removal in the winter).
