Job summary

Vail Resorts in Gorham, ME is seeking a Base Area Operator for the 2026/27 winter season. You will help deliver an outstanding guest arrival experience, performing a range of base area duties and supporting different departments as needed.

The role is winter seasonal with possible part-time hours; starting wage is $20/hr. Applicants must be able to work weekends/holidays and lift 50 lb, indoors and outdoors in seasonal conditions. Housing is not provided.

Job Summary: As the Base Area Operator, you perform critical operations in the base area to deliver an outstanding arrival experience for guests. This role may involve a variety of duties across the day to ensure great service and smooth resort operations.

Job Specifications:

• Starting Wage: $20/hr
• Employment Type: Winter Seasonal 2026/2027
• Shift Type: Winter seasonal; Part Time hours may be available
• Minimum Age: 16 years old

A Base Area Operator may work across multiple departments, including Mountain Activities, Retail Rental operations, Food and Beverage Support, Ticket sales or scanning, Lift Operations, and Guest Services.

The pay range is $20/hr. Compensation decisions are based on various factors.
