Edison Smart in the Los Angeles region is seeking an experienced BAS Technician to install, commission, service and maintain building automation systems across commercial facilities. You will troubleshoot HVAC controls, work with Johnson Controls or Siemens platforms, read wiring diagrams, and collaborate with project teams.

Qualifications

• Work with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and end users to deliver projects successfully.
• Complete service documentation and provide clear updates to customers and internal teams.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high technical standard.

Salary: $90,000 – $120,000 + Company Vehicle + Full Benefits

An established building automation systems integrator is seeking an experienced BAS Technician to join its growing team in the Los Angeles region.

This is an excellent opportunity for a controls professional who enjoys working in the field, troubleshooting complex building systems, and delivering high-quality service to commercial clients. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Johnson Controls and/or Siemens building automation systems, although candidates with strong experience across other major BAS platforms are also encouraged to apply.

The Role

As a BAS Technician, you will be responsible for supporting the installation, commissioning, service, troubleshooting, and maintenance of building automation and controls systems across a range of commercial facilities.

You will work closely with project teams and customers to diagnose system issues, optimise performance, and ensure BAS installations are operating effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, service, troubleshoot, and maintain Building Automation Systems.

What We're Looking For

• Experience working with Johnson Controls and/or Siemens controls systems is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of HVAC equipment and control systems.
• Experience troubleshooting controllers, sensors, actuators, valves, dampers, and other field devices.
• Understanding of BAS communication protocols and networking is advantageous.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, control drawings, and sequence of operations.
• Strong problem-solving and customer-facing skills.
• Valid driver's licence and ability to travel throughout the Los Angeles region.
