Job summary

Air Systems is seeking an Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support Building Automation Systems and Mechanical Service projects throughout Northern California. This role offers the opportunity to independently manage smaller projects while assisting with larger projects under senior Project Managers.

Responsibilities include project execution, customer communication, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, field coordination, and project closeout.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in BAS, HVAC, mechanical construction, service operations, controls, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of HVAC systems and mechanical equipment.
• Ability to read plans, specifications, and technical documents.
• Basic understanding of project financials and cost management.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Manage BAS and mechanical projects from kickoff through closeout.
• Coordinate schedules, labor, subcontractors, vendors, and materials.
• Monitor budgets, costs, profitability, and change orders.
• Review contracts, plans, specifications, and project requirements.
• Communicate with customers and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
• Drive project completion safely, on time, and within budget.
