Job summary

Yates Company, LLC in San Antonio is seeking a Project Engineer I to support BAS projects. The role blends control system hardware, programming, and end-user graphic development for building automation systems.

The incumbent will design submittals, create BOMs, and collaborate with internal teams; occasional customer interaction may occur. Strong CAD/Visio skills and BAS familiarity are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree with 0-3 years relevant building automation systems (BAS) industry experience.
• Knowledge of Carrier i-Vu or Automated Logic (ALC) products and tools preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Visio, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Generate project control drawings/submittals to meet project requirements.
• Read and understand project specifications and MEP drawing sets.
• Select materials to meet project requirements (control modules, devices, dampers, valves).
• Provide bill of material reports for project materials to the project manager.
• Simulate programming to ensure conformance with operation sequences and standards.
