Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin on the UT MAIN CAMPUS is seeking a Temporary Building Automation Systems Operator to monitor the campus BAS from a central control room and manage alarm responses. You will also serve as the afterhours call center for maintenance issues and dispatch personnel as needed.

This temporary assignment runs through March 31, 2027, with a current possibility of transition to regular status. A Texas driver license and clean driving record are required for consideration.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 years journey-level experience with HVAC BAS, refrigeration, or related systems.
• Proficient with Outlook, Word and Excel; strong record-keeping and communication.

Responsibilities

• Monitor BAS to ensure proper operation of campus mechanical systems and respond to alarms.
• Dispatches technicians, maintains work orders, and provides after-hours call center support.
