Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR in Hampton, VA is seeking an HVAC Controls Service Technician to troubleshoot, service, commission, and maintain commercial HVAC control and Building Automation Systems.

You will read electrical schematics, work with building owners and facility teams, and respond to service calls while ensuring documentation is accurate and up-to-date. 3+ years' BAS/HVAC controls experience required; local travel expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with HVAC Controls or Building Automation Systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and control drawings.
• Experience with BAS platforms such as Johnson Controls, Siemens, Trane, Schneider Electric, Automated Logic, Tridium Niagara, Honeywell, Distech, Alerton, Carrier, Delta, or related systems.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC control systems and BAS.
• Perform preventive maintenance and service on HVAC controls, sensors, actuators, and related equipment.
• Install, wire, replace, and modify BAS control devices and system components.
• Commission systems and verify proper operation after repairs or upgrades.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, control drawings, and sequences of operation.
• Work with building owners and facility teams to resolve system issues.
• Respond to service calls and outages as needed.
• Maintain service documentation and maintenance records.
• Assist with customer training and support as needed.
