Job summary

Next Level HVAC Energy Management Systems seeks a hands-on controls technician/engineer to develop, test, and document BAS control programs, graphics, and databases. You will provide drawings and test packages to engineers and customers, resolving issues with installation teams and subcontractors.

Travel to various sites and flexible hours are required. The role emphasizes strong communication, understanding of BAS hardware, and ability to interpret electrical diagrams while supporting service

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Two-year technical degree in Electronics preferred.
• Undergraduate degree in Electrical or Construction Management is excellent.
• Experience with BAS programming is preferred.
• Familiarity with major BAS controls is a plus.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and schematics.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to multiple locations and work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Create Controls Program, Systems Database and Graphical Interfaces for BAS systems.
• Test control programs and verify performance.
• Document systems’ design compliance and maintain records.
• Provide control drawings to engineering/drafting group.
• Provide test documentation to customers.
• Identify and resolve potential project issues.
• Coordinate with subcontractors or internal installation team.
• Support ongoing service engineering and building systems.
• Review engineered submittals for scope, budget and customer expectations.
• Travel to various locations as needed and work flexible hours.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education

High school diploma

Two-year technical degree in Electronics

Undergraduate degree in Electrical or Construction Management

BAS programming knowledge

Basic computer operating systems understanding
